ISTITUTO DI PSICOSINTESI
fondato da Roberto Assagioli

8° International Meeting at Casa Assagioli (Firenze, September 13-16, 2018)

THE “CASA ASSAGIOLI EXPERIENCE”

We kindly invite you to attend our yearly appointment in Casa Assagioli, a wonderful, four-day "full immersion" experience, giving you the chance to explore the world of the founder of Psychosynthesis in his own home, study the materials in the archive and in the library, and join a group of fellow co-workers gathered from all over the world.

Over the years the International Meeting has grown in depth and extension, thanks to the interest and collaboration of friends in the Psychosynthesis community. While the foundations of our work are always the same, the group relationship has grown in quality and in intensity, year after year. This gives us the chance of fostering unity in diversity as we meet friends from all over the world, and it also creates the perfect environment for an “inner” experience, adding it a special dimension.

Indeed, the Experience at Casa Assagioli is a wonderful opportunity to:

Work on your research: explore the origins and development of Psychosynthesis and materials related to Roberto Assagioli’s diversified fields of inquiry. This kind of in-depth research is much more than a look at the history of Psychosynthesis – the depth of Assagioli’s insights, his articles and his handwritten notes thrive with energy and always generate new ideas.

Tread an intuitive path: the possibility of contacting deep levels of one's inner space is facilitated by the insights in the manuscripts and the articles and books in the library. Gruppo alle Fonti has created a number of special activities that supports openness and inspiration.

Intensive group work: the welcoming atmosphere fosters meaningful and profound human relationships, a growing sense of belonging to the broad Psychosynthesis community, and it offers the possibility to initiate new collaborations within an ever broader and more aware planetary network.

Last year we also launched a number of new initiatives, including:
- a psychosynthetic guided tour of a place of art in Florence.
- an encounter with one of Assagioli's collaborators or students – with all the richness of their testimonials.

And the Experience at Casa Assagioli would not be the same without the excellent lunches in the garden, delicious Italian dinners and time for fun together!

The meeting will be held in Italian and English, with the help of volunteer interpreters in the Gruppo alle Fonti.

We invite you to register in advance to benefit from our early-bird registration fees!

About Casa Assagioli and Gruppo Alle Fonti

Casa Assagioli, situated on the Florentine road that leads to Fiesole, was the house where Roberto Assagioli and his family lived for more of twenty years. There he worked, welcomed patients and collaborators from all over the world.
In his legacy the house was left to the Istituto di Psicosintesi that he had founded.

Late in his life Roberto Assagioli organized, with the help of different collaborators, an archive holding articles, lectures, and lessons on a wide range of subjects, now called Archivio Synthesis (the Synthesis Archive). After Assagioli’s death, many of his small notes on Psychosynthesis were sorted, compiled and organized by Piero Ferrucci into subject areas, placed into folders in 84 boxes: this is the Archivio Studio (the Study Archive).

In 2006, during a structural renovation of the building, a great amount of material previously uncatalogued was found in the attic of the building. This treasure corroborates Assagioli’s wide range of interests and initiatives. This inspired us to create a group that would work to preserve and promote the material.

Thus a new group was founded: Gruppo Alle Fonti della Psicosintesi (literally, Group at the Wellspring of Psychosynthesis). Since its creation, our group has worked on the cataloguing and archival work; it organizes visits to the house and holds national and international meetings. More recently we also launched the Online Archive (www.archivioassagioli.org).

In addition, because Assagioli was a keen reader, his library holds a large collection of volumes of great historical and academic value. Using the Dewey Decimal System, Gruppo Alle Fonti has reorganized the Library into language and subject sections, making the books easy to browse and check online.

Members of Gruppo Alle Fonti are trained members of the Istituto di Psicosintesi. We meet in Casa Assagioli every month for a whole weekend. We come from different backgrounds, cities, countries and paths of life, but we serve on this project with the same purpose and dedication.
