Casa Assagioli was the residence of the Assagioli family for almost thirty years, from the post-war period until 1974, when, following the death of its founder, the Institute of Psychosynthesis became its heir.
Situated at the foot of the Fiesole hill, on Via San Domenico, the building is an elegant three-storey villa with an attic and forms part of a series of similar early 20th-century buildings. It overlooks the Florentine hills, with their olive groves and cypress trees, and features a garden area where Roberto Assagioli used to go to read, meditate and converse.
Always a destination for visitors, in recent years it has seen an increase in hospitality, study and meeting activities at both national and international levels.
The renovation work begun in 2004 has, in fact, made it possible to restore and offer to the public the cultural heritage left by Roberto Assagioli, preserved in the Archive and the Library. The interior spaces house meeting rooms, offices and conference rooms. An internal courtyard and a garden overlooking the hills provide a breath of fresh air for the activities.
But the greatest quality one enjoys when visiting Casa Assagioli lies in its special atmosphere, created over time thanks to the work of Roberto Assagioli first and later the Institute: an atmosphere of welcome and care for the spiritual world of those who enter.
It is therefore only natural to carry forward this spirit of hospitality at Casa Assagioli through activities that are open to the entire Italian and international psychosynthesis community.
