Dear Friends and Psychosynthesis Colleagues,
The Institute of Psychosynthesis of Italy, together with the Italian Society for Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy in Florence (S.I.P.T. - Società Italiana di Psicosintesi Terapeutica), is happy to announce the International Congress of Psychosynthesis that will be held from the 2nd to 5th June 2016 in the splendid setting of Taormina, Sicily.

Participants will be welcomed by truly mythical surroundings, immersed in the light of the Mediterranean and cradled in the glory of a culture reaching back over thousands of years. The sea and the ancient rock, with one of the most famous amphitheatres in the world, complete this setting, perfect for merging with the beauty of nature and continuing that dialogue of human creativity begun at our international congress of 2012 in Rome, at Rocca di Papa.
There, in fact, as many of you will remember, the psychosynthesis community felt the urge to re-unite and recognize itself, and we witnessed this through the astonishing number of different contributions from so many psychosynthetists that came from all over the world. On that occasion "World" was precisely the word we questioned. It stimulated us in a congress that sewed many seeds for study and work together, even though they were scattered across immense geographical distances.

Today, along with our call to this congress, we want to launch that invitation again and observe with what new vision and renewed instruments we have worked, both in the single national psychosynthesis communities as well as in the worldwide psychosynthesis realities.
Many links were created between centers of psychosynthesis in different countries and continents and we feel that the time has come to taste the fruits from the first crop harvested after the germination of the seeds that were sown, and to reflect upon the paths of the goals along the evolution of Humanity. We shall question ourselves on the contribution that psychosythesis can offer those goals, with its transpersonal vision that integrates and goes beyond the conscience of nations, to the level of international attitudes and even further, within a planetary network.

What signs have we captured of something new already advancing, in the many areas of our planet?
In what way can psychosynthesis contribute to building a just and beautiful Future, and how can it perceive the Future coming towards us?
What is the nucleus of psychosynthesis that we will continue to share, even through the transformations taking place?
We shall take a look at the Future of psychosynthesis.
These are the elements inspiring the 2016 International Congress.

We intend to continue with the interesting experience of the Co-creative Groups, introducing a new sector on "The Advancement of Things New", and we propose a series of topics along which to develop relations and Group work.
A session of the Congress will be dedicated to the innovations made by psychosynthesis friends to the map of the egg and the position of the Transpersonal Self.
We believe that it is important to discuss this point together and that the air and atmosphere in Taormina will remind us of our love for the culture of dialogue, so dear to the Greeks and to Magna Grecia and that we will be sustained and nourished.
Our different opinions will allow for the union of opposites, capable of accomplishing "the miracle of living between the two, achieving the nous without losing the soul; entering into freedom as deeply as possible without annihilating nor humiliating the life of our guts" as the philosopher Maria Zambrano so well puts it.
We will know how to dialogue, and from our multiplicity move towards unity with the precious quality of humility, with the courage to dream truths not as yet manifest, aware of being born to the world to complete our existence as unique, original souls, and to participate in the realization of a fully humane society.

On the wave of these reflections, it is our wish that enthusiastic biopsychosynthetic work be prepared and shared between us all.

Siamo lieti di annunciare il Congresso Internazionale di Psicosintesi organizzato dall'Istituto di Psicosintesi Italiano e dalla Società Italiana di Psicosintesi Terapeutica (SIPT) di Firenze.
Il Congresso si svolgerà nella splendida cornice di Taormina in Sicilia, dal 2 al 5 Giugno 2016.

L'ospitalità sarà davvero di buon livello e, soprattutto, saremo in un luogo mitico, immersi nella luce del mare Mediterraneo e nell'aura di una cultura millenaria.
La cornice del mare, della antica rocca, del Teatro tra i più famosi del mondo saranno perfetti per immergerci nella Bellezza della natura e della creatività umana, e continuare quel dialogo internazionale apertosi nel 2012 a Roma - Rocca di Papa, quando la comunità psicosintetica sentì il desiderio di ri-unirsi e ri-conoscersi attraverso le numerose espressioni testimoniate da psicosintetisti giunti da tutto il mondo.
Fu sulla parola "Mondo" che ci interrogammo e stimolammo in un congresso dal quale furono lanciati molti semi di studio e di lavoro comune, pur a grandi distanze geografiche.

Oggi lanciamo l'invito per il secondo congresso internazionale in cui osservare con quali nuove visioni e rinnovati strumenti abbiamo operato nelle singole realtànazionali e nella rete mondiale di Psicosintesi. Molti collegamenti sono nati fra centri di Psicosintesi di differenti paesi e continenti e pensiamo sia giunto il tempo per verificare i primi frutti nati da quei semi e riflettere sulle Mete che l'Umanità percorre nella sua evoluzione. Ci interrogheremo sul contributo che ad esse la Psicosintesi può offrire con la sua visione transpersonale che integra e trascende le coscienze nazionali in sentimento internazionale e poi in  rete planetaria.

Nei tanti luoghi del nostro pianeta quali segni abbiamo colto del Nuovo che avanza?
In quale modo la Psicosintesi può contribuire ad edificare un Futuro giusto e bello e a percepire l'Avvenire che ci viene incontro?
Quale il nucleo centrale della Psicosintesi che continueremo a condividere pur nelle trasformazioni in atto?
Getteremo uno sguardo sul Futuro della Psicosintesi.
Questi gli elementi che ispirano il Congresso Internazionale del 2016.

Intendiamo proseguire l'interessante esperienza dei Gruppi Co-creativi con la novità di un settore aperto al "nuovo che avanza" e proponiamo una serie di argomenti su cui sviluppare le relazioni e i lavori di Gruppo. Una sessione del Congresso sarà dedicata a quelle innovazioni apportate da amici della Psicosintesi  alla mappa dell'ovoide e alla posizione del Sé transpersonale. Crediamo che sia importante dialogare insieme su questo punto e l'aria di Taormina, ricordandoci l'amore per la cultura del dialogo cara ai greci e alla Magna Grecia, ci sosterrà e nutrirà.
Saranno le differenti posizioni a permettere un'unione di opposti, capace di realizzare "il prodigio di vivere tra i due, conseguendo il nous senza perdere l'anima; addentrandosi per quanto è possibile nella libertà senza annientare né umiliare la vita delle viscere". Per dirlo con le belle parole della filosofa Maria Zambrano.
Sapremo dialogare e dal molteplice ci accosteremo all'unità con la  qualità preziosa dell'umiltà,  con l'ardire di sognare verità ancora non manifeste per cui già partecipiamo del Futuro, consapevoli di nascere al mondo per completare la nostra esistenza di anime originali, uniche, e per partecipare alla costruzione di una società pienamente umana.

Sull'onda di queste riflessioni auguriamo a tutti noi di preparare e poi di condividere un entusiasmante lavoro biopsicosintetico.

The group “Alle Fonti” [At the Wellsprings] is a group of 12 members working on a voluntary basis at the Istituto di Psicosintesi, with the intention to make Roberto Assagioli’s work available to an increasing number of friends of Psychosynthesis.
The group has been involved with Casa Assagioli since 2006 and is responsible for preserving and cataloguing the materials in the three archives and the library, organizes both Italian and International meetings and offers support to research or whatever concerned with the archives and Casa Assagioli.

Five years ago, when our group envisioned the first international meeting at Casa Assagioli, we embarked upon a true adventure. We are a group of volunteers who have been involved for about eight years now in restoring back to its original integrity the archives and library found at Casa Assagioli, a lovely nineteenth century Florentine villa some of us helped restore. Our work, an ongoing project, is possible thanks to the support of the Institute of Psychosynthesis founded by Assagioli in this same villa, back in 1946.

It was by doing the archival work that we discovered a treasure to share with the world: the knowledge contained in the mimeograph articles, the wisdom alive in the literally thousands of handwritten notes Assagioli left, the impressive variety of international textbooks and manuals shelved in Assagioli’s psychological library, the variety of topics covered in his conference drafts and papers. Most of all, we wanted to share with others the feeling of the home, the atmosphere and energy that lives here.

We had a vision: back to the wellsprings. The vision defined a purpose: to welcome psychosynthesis friends to Roberto Assagioli’s home, so that we help the spirit of psychosynthesis find renewal and spread to the world from the very roots where it all began.

Over the last five years, we have seen people from all paths of life and from the most distant corners of the world come here and build a true community of seekers. We have seen the emotion and the awe, the care in the handling of material and in the listening to each other. We have witnessed intuition unfold in the light of the Self. We have seen laughter and joy, commitment and care, openness and empowerment.

Many participants to past sessions of the International Meeting have been enthusiastic about the inspiration they received here. They often tell us it has ignited their inner spark, revealed a vision. Others have felt empowered in their ongoing commitment to psychosynthesis and their professional service. Many have found energy and the courage to take on important new endeavors. The heartfelt contact and deep exchange with other co-workers from around the world creates an uplifting experience of belonging to a larger soul-community and the opportunity to extend our international network.
